As a private acute-care hospital with a public service mandate, it treats approximately 11,000 inpatients and over 60,000 outpatients annually. With approximately 1,100 employees and 174 beds, it makes a substantial contribution to the canton\u2019s healthcare system.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Its roots date back to 1858, when the \u201cNeum\u00fcnster Hospital and Deaconess Institute\u201d was founded on Hegibachplatz in Zurich. In 1933, the institution moved to its current location. Today, the hospital is operated by the Diakoniewerk Neum\u00fcnster Foundation.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The hospital has made targeted investments in radiology in recent years. In 2021, a new wing opened that houses, among other things, the diagnostic and interventional radiology departments. The purchase of a new Philips CT scanner is part of this modernization effort.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Starting Point<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>purchase of a new CT scanner<\/strong> was a carefully planned project for the hospital, with no time pressure and no immediate bottlenecks. <strong>The previous machine needed to be replaced<\/strong>, and the timeline allowed for a thorough evaluation. For the CFO, two strategic objectives were paramount: preserving liquidity and diversifying the financing structure rather than relying on a single source. Various financing models were evaluated accordingly.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The central question<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-default is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When making a carefully planned major investment, how do you choose the right financing option if time and options aren&#8217;t a constraint?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Off to Zollikerberg: W\u00fcrth Leasing on Site<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initial contact was made through the field sales team, in collaboration with the radiology department. The radiology department is now equipped with state-of-the-art technology and continues to contribute to the reliability of healthcare services in the greater Zurich area.
