Jost Signage
Did you take over the business?
Should we modernize now?
Made possible by Würth Leasing.

The Company
Jost Beschriftungen is a signage and advertising company in Liestal that has been in business since 1996 and is well established in the Basel region. Its services range from vehicle and building lettering to signage and construction advertising, as well as large-format digital printing, vinyl lettering, and window tinting. The company offers consulting, design, production, and installation—all under one roof.
In early 2024, Philipp Imhof, who had been with the company for many years, took over the business. The change was accompanied by a new logo and a refreshed brand identity. The team is small: five employees who provide consulting, design, lettering, and installation services. Their website states: “A small team with a big impact.”
The Starting Point
Two years after the acquisition, it was time for the next step. The reason wasn’t a bottleneck, but rather further development: Jost Beschriftungen wanted to modernize its equipment, improve workflows, and expand its offerings to customers. There was no time pressure. The focus was on a new flatbed cutter, the Summa F1625 Vantage. The digital cutting system processes films as well as plastic and composite panels on a 160 × 250 cm work surface. The question of how to finance the equipment—purchase or lease—remained open.
The central question
How can a small business invest in modern technology two years after the acquisition without tying up the cash it needs for further growth?
The Solution from Würth Leasing
Giuseppe Vaneria of Würth Leasing, in collaboration with Jost Beschriftungen, analyzed the company’s equipment fleet and prepared a comparative analysis: leasing versus purchasing.
CHF 80,000
Investment Volume
48 months
Duration
Würth Leasing financed the flatbed cutter with a 48-month term. The comparative calculation served as the basis for the installment structure.

Three points were crucial to the solution:
A Clear Basis for Decision-Making
The comparison between leasing and purchasing made the decision clear in terms of numbers.
Maintains liquidity
The investment does not affect the company’s liquidity or equity.
Adjusted Rates
The payment schedule is tailored to Jost Beschriftungen’s specific situation, rather than following a standard format.
The result
Strategically, the investment contributes to two goals: more efficient workflows with faster production and an expanded range of services for customers. Financially, it preserves the flexibility needed for further development. And Philipp Imhof would definitely recommend Würth Leasing to others.
| Investment | Summa F1625 Vantage Flatbed Cutter |
| Liquidity | Preserved, equity protected |
| Workflows | Faster, with better quality |
| Offering | New Services for Customers |
| Predictability | 48-month term, with installments tailored to the business’s needs |
The Collaboration
A referral paved the way to Würth Leasing. The quote, responses to inquiries, and confirmation all came quickly, and the process went smoothly. Philipp Imhof describes the consultation as very professional, and Giuseppe Vaneria was always available to answer questions.

“With the new financing from Würth Leasing, we were able to invest quickly and easily without straining our cash flow. As an entrepreneur, that gives me the confidence to tap into new markets as well.”
Philipp Imhof, Owner and Managing Director, Jost Beschriftungen GmbH
